Soekarno Monument

Soekarno Monument is one of the historical tourist attractions in Central Kalimantan which was inaugurated directly by the first president of the Republic Indonesia on July 17, 1957.

This Soekarno monument is located on the banks of the Kahayan River and has 17 stakes according to the date of its inauguration with the highest pole as high as 6 meters.

The construction of the Soekarno Monument has its own meaning, namely:

The number 17 symbolizes the wisdom of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic Indonesia

Monument Api means the unflagging fire of the spirit of independence

The 17 pillars mean weapons for war

The shape of the pentagon monument symbolizes Pancasila, which contains the meaning of God Almighty.
